Tips and Tricks

I've been playing with the idea of adding a tips and tricks section here on the forums, but need to know if there is enough interest in doing so.

On that note, would you all use a community supported tips and tricks area, where you can submit cheats, codes, and walkthroughs?

What do you think?

Meh, I don't see a need, especially when there are so many other sites and resources that can be used....

I think it would be best for things that aren't done by other sites. So like multiplayer tips and such, but as far as walkthroughs go, probably not a big need...

I don't think it would be a good fit for TGR at this time.

If you're wanting to make TGR a sort of "one stop" gaming site, then sure, a tips and tricks section would make sense. But maybe it would be best to wait until all the other details are sorted out, so as to limit the distraction level at the moment. '

For instance, what's the deal with the Blog section? I posted one there, but it seems mostly dedicated to wedding advice at the moment. I'd hate to see that happen to a Tips & Tricks section, were it implemented.

(See what I did there? I shoe-horned an unrelated question/complaint into an unrelated forum thread by tenuously relating the two. That could be the first tip/trick! ';D [Kidding. I don't recommend that. I just didn't know where else to mention it.])

Seriously though, while the section wouldn't be fulfilling a lacking need on the web, I think it could make for an interesting supplement to the site in the future.

Tips and Tricks is on the back burner for now, as the community at large isn't quite vibrant enough to make use of it yet.

As for the blogs, its one of our lesser known features of the site. I encourage you, and anyone else who is interested in having their own yournamehere.thegamereviews.com to set one up. Simply go to http://blogging.thegamereviews.com to get started.

Pay no attention to the wedding advice - I'm pretty sure those are just DevHub placeholders.

Hey i thought of a idea... it might be done by other site's but im not sure...

How about a Acheivment help section? where a selected team either help a person get a Acheivment OR create a video showing them how to with each little detail involved...

I dont mind helping with both Video and Acheivment help (Co-op, Multiplayer etc Acheivment's).

Thanks Chris, I think I will start my own website! It won't go far though and I'm not sure what to put on it so it'll probably get abandoned soon, but it's always good to try new things!
